Sai Hansen is a good kid and has serious talent. His dad is a world-class guitarist; could have been a serious contender to the likes of Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughn or Ry Cooder. He was up there, had he chosen the same path.

Accounts of Sai terrorizing the beaches of Kailua and Lanikai – speeding fast beachgoers, cutting off fishing lines and being rude and disrespectful – if true, although out of character, is not surprising at all. Whether we like it or not, we are a product of our environment. Kids need intellectual freedom and free of prejudices. As the world continues to change for the better – more global and duly informed of just about anything, the millennial tide is rising to wash away barriers of old religions, races, genders and creeds. Meanwhile, these Haribol kids are missing out the revolution; a unique time that is for their taking.

Sai Hansen and the second generation of Haribol devotees see the world outside the walls as dark, dirty, depraved and worthless. Sai could have been an effective and functional member of society; instead, he’s going to jail.

To Chris Butler Siddhaswarup: Fake gurus will be exposed. There’s no way around that. No amount of Gita quotes will save you from the outrage. Only the weak-minded are affected by them. The people you are fond of calling karmis, sex maniacs, demons, meat-mouths, and offensive (to whom?), they will be at your door, and they are gonna shove a tofurkey up your self-righteous, pure and holy ass. Misogynist asshole.
